Anne-Marcelle Ngabirano is an award-winning documentary filmmaker based in New York City. in 2026 she founded FOUR SQUARED PRODUCTIONS.

Anne-Marcelle produces impeccably researched, provocative, nuanced, boundary-pushing films and television series.

She produced the feature film, PUBLIC ACCESS, which premiered in competition at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. She co-produced World Eats Bread for National Geographic at Part2 Pictures. The series won the 2025 James Beard Award for best Docuseries Visual Media.

Anne-Marcelle began her career as a journalist. Her work spans across 5 continents covering a range of subjects including freedom of speech, sexuality, food, economics, family systems, crime, genealogy, history, fashion, art, sports and more.

She has produced work for Nike, National Geographic, Hulu/ABC News, CNN, Max, Disney+, PBS, NBC, The Wall Street Journal, USAToday, VICE and COMPLEX.

She is a voting member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She is also a member of the WGAE-East and Brown Girls Doc Mafia.

Anne-Marcelle received her B.A. in Economics and Broadcast Journalism from New York University.
